My Guide To Dining Out

19th Jun 2019

I know girls, eating out can be stressful when you are starting a new challenge. I used to stress so much about going out with the fear of unknown calories preventing progress. Flexible dieting is your KEY to being able to get results and live life as well. This is something I preach to my LSF babes. With a flexible dieting approach there is no reason that you shouldn’t be able to eat out for meals with zero stress or anxiety around your diet!

The #LSFBabes are a community full of powerful, strong and confident girls who support one another and get the results that they set out for. When I first became a coach, my focus was on creating a community of women who support each other to achieve the extraordinary! My girls? Well, it has completely surpassed my expectations of what was ever possible.

I have been working hard over the years to shape my body, become bikini confident and stronger than ever. I started my fitness journey by undereating and overtraining. I rarely ate more than 1000 calories! I lived off chicken, fish and greens, and felt I could only eat ‘clean food’, and I restricted myself and cut out whole food groups. I was afraid to eat carbs, refuse to dine out, did not allow myself to have rest days, and trained for hours every day. When I see it all written down like this, it is no surprise that my confidence and sense of self-worth were at an all time low.

We all struggle to stay on track from time to time, especially at this time of year! Sometimes It feels like the world is full of temptation and it can be seriously exhausting just saying no time and time again! What you need to know is that there are countless delicious sweet treats you can whip up in just a few minutes yourself that will curb your sweet tooth without throwing you off track. In fact, the snacks in this blog are not only guilt-free, but they're also actually good for you!

As you girls know Mother’s Day is almost here! I have just got to LA, so this year I won’t be able to celebrate the day with my mum. Normally I would head to Tamworth to hang out with my mum at home. I feel like a lot of you don’t know how just how incredible my mum is. Just like me, she has a huge passion for fitness and living life to the fullest. When she isn’t creating amazing food in the kitchen, she trains really consistently and even does Crossfit. Ultimate training buddy right?

When it comes to holidays, how do you maintain your hard earned body, and also enjoy the moment? Can you fully relax over the holiday period? Should you be counting all your macros on holiday? Will you undo your hard work with a weekend away? I know so many girls worry about these very things! Today, I want to pass on my best tips for taking on your holiday break stress free (particularly with Easter hopping in fast)!

Intermittent Fasting

3rd Mar 2019

Intermittent fasting is quite the buzz topic in the training world at the moment! One of the most frequent topics I receive questions about is intermittent fasting... What I think about it? Do I do it?

You started a new exciting challenge, prepped all your meals, took the before pictures, trained hard and began the first week off with a bang. Sounds familiar, right? The second week of the challenge comes… You didn’t do your meal prep, had a bad night's sleep, cake at work, and even skipped your Monday workout. Disaster.

Today we’re talking everything carbs, arguably the most controversial of all the macros… Carbohydrates are a contentious topic in nutrition. A lot of people blame carbs for weight gain and may go so far as to eliminate them from their diet to speed up fat loss. The food industry supports this point of view by manufacturing low carb foods. In many ways this makes a lot of sense. Excess carbs are easily converted into fat and their presence can inhibit fat loss. But, does this mean you should eliminate carbs from your diet? Nope!
